Our 2 part carbonless forms are printed on state of the art digital high speed printing presses in either black or color ink at a minimum resolution of 1200 dpi (dots per inch).  All 2 part carbonless forms come standard with edge gluing and consecutive numbering is optional.  Most carbonless form orders ship in 24-48 hours (additional time may be required for additional services, large orders or during busy production schedules).

How To Order Half Sheet 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" 2 Part Carbonless Forms

1. Enter a job name/short description.
2. Choose an artwork option from the dropdown menu.
3. Upload your PDF file design.
4. Choose paper option (some products with only 1 paper option are default selected).
5. Choose your carbonless printing/ink options from the dropdown menu.
6. Choose yes or no from the dropdown menu for consecutive numbering of your 2 part carbonless forms.
7. If you choose "YES" in step 6 then enter your starting number in the text box.
8. Enter your desired quantity of forms in the box to the left of the add to cart button.
9. Once you have reviewed your choices click the Add to Cart button

What is a  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" or half sheet Size 2 part carbonless form?

A 2 part carbonless form is a business form consisting of two sheets of specially coated paper which is printed with same image and requires pen pressure to transfer the hand written image on the top copy to the underlying printed copies by a chemical reaction of the special carbonless coatings.  Firm pressure yields the best results when writing on 2 part carbonless forms.  Multi-part carbonless paper forms have gained popularity by eliminating the need for messy carbon papers in between printed sheets, hence the name "carbonless" printing.  Printing carbonless forms offer substantial savings over messy outdated carbon paper, and the printing of carbonless forms is much better in quality and produced quicker allowing for faster ship times.

How half sheet size 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" 2 part carbonless forms are made:

Our carbonless forms are printed using high quality brand name heavy weight (#21) printing paper.  We preflight your file for FREE to check for any obvious problems and upon request we will send you a PDF proof via email for you approval prior to printing. Once approved your file then moves through our digital workflow where your approved file is then processed by a powerful computer known in the printing industry as a rip which rasterizes your digital image to be laser generated and printed by one of our high speed digital printing press at speeds up to 90 press sheets per minute and at a minimum of 1200 dpi resolution.  Any optional consecutive numbering is done in line with the printing production for maximum efficiency.  Once the printing is complete your job then moves to the bindery department where glue is applied to form the multiple parts into a finished set and any cutting or trimming to size is done after gluing.

Creating your Digital Artwork File for printing half sheet size 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" 2 part carbonless forms:

Your 2 part carbonless half sheets size forms PDF file should be 8.5" wide by 5.5" tall or 5.5" wide by 8.5" tall with a minimum of a 1/8" (0.125) margin top, left, right and bottom. Please note that if you are printing in black ink only, any color in your digital PDF file will be converted to shade(s) of gray.  For color printing we recommend that you are working in and designing in CMYK color space rather than RGB color space to reduce any color shifts.  If you do submit a file with RGB color it will be automatically converted to CMYK.  Our preferred file format is PDF for the highest quality printing.  If you need help with file setup or need professional graphic design of your carbonless forms for you please give us a call at 678-561-8151.
