- Design File Page Size: 8.5" x 11" — 4 pages, or 11" x 17" — 2 pages. The finished printed sheet is 11" x 17". The supplied template is designed for individual 8.5" x 11" pages and can also be used when creating an 11" x 17" layout file.
- Orientation: Landscape when the finished 11" x 17" sheet is opened flat.
- Margin: 1/2" recommended; 1/4" minimum.
- Bleed: 1/8" minimum recommended where artwork extends to the edge.
- Crop Marks: Recommended, required for bleeds
- Color Space: Grayscale, RGB or CMYK. CMYK is recommended for color artwork.
- File Resolution: 300 dpi recommended for optimum image quality; 1200 dpi recommended for vector artwork.
- Paper Options: #60 white uncoated or #100 gloss text.
- Ink(s) & Printing Options: Black or full color (CMYK).
- Folding Options:
- Half fold to 8.5" x 11".
- Right-angle half fold to 8.5" x 5.5".

Download our free 4-page newsletter template to help set up your artwork correctly. The template provides a layout guide for individual 8.5" x 11" pages that combine to create a finished 11" x 17" newsletter sheet.
Design all four pages in normal reading order and submit them together in a single PDF, with page 1 through page 4 in sequence. Do not rearrange the pages into printer spreads. Discount Printing Service will arrange the pages for production.
The template includes the finished page size, margins, bleed, crop marks and page numbering. If your newsletter will be mailed as a self-mailer, the guide on page 2 includes information about the return-address location, recipient-address blocks, automated barcoding blocks and postal-permit blocks. These areas must be left blank and unprinted.
