2-Part Carbonless Forms Printing Service
2-part carbonless forms are an economical and convenient way to create an original document and one duplicate copy at the same time. Also known as 2-part NCR forms or 2-part carbonless paper forms, they transfer the information written or printed on the original sheet to the second copy without requiring separate carbon paper. They are commonly used for invoices, receipts, estimates, work orders, repair orders, sales forms, tickets, medical forms and many other business documents.
Our 2-part carbonless forms are available with black or full-color printing and can be produced in portrait or landscape orientation. We offer six standard sizes, as well as custom-size carbonless forms for businesses that need a specific finished size. Consecutive numbering is also available as an optional service add-on for forms that need to be individually numbered for tracking and record keeping.

How 2-Part Carbonless Forms Work
2-part carbonless forms consist of a white top copy and a yellow bottom copy that work together to create a duplicate image without the need for traditional carbon paper. The back of the white top sheet contains a special pressure-sensitive coating, while the front of the yellow bottom sheet contains a receiving coating designed to produce the transferred image.
When you write or print on the white top copy, mechanical pressure presses the two coated surfaces together. Pressure from a pen, typewriter, dot matrix printer or other impact-style printing device activates the coatings, causing the information written or printed on the white sheet to be transferred to the yellow copy.
The result is a readable duplicate of the original information on the second sheet. Because the two sheets are specifically designed to work together, 2-part carbonless forms do not require separate carbon paper. This makes them a practical solution for businesses that need to provide a duplicate copy while retaining the original for their records.
For a more detailed explanation of carbonless paper technology and how the individual sheets work together, see our How Carbonless Forms Work page.
When to Use 2-Part Carbonless Forms
A 2-part form is a good choice when your business needs one original and one duplicate copy of the same document. The white original can be given to a customer, employee or other recipient while the yellow copy can be retained for accounting, record keeping or internal use, depending on how your business handles its paperwork.
Common uses for 2-part carbonless forms include:
- Invoices and billing forms
- Receipts
- Estimates and quotations
- Work orders
- Repair orders
- Sales forms
- Purchase and service records
- Tickets and tickets with duplicate copies
- Medical and patient forms
- Delivery and service records
- Internal business forms
If your business needs two duplicate copies instead of one, our 3-Part Carbonless Forms may be a better fit. For workflows requiring three duplicate copies, see our 4-Part Carbonless Forms.
Custom-Size 2-Part Carbonless Forms
Need a size that isn't listed above? We can produce custom-size 2-part carbonless forms for businesses that need a specific finished dimension or want to reproduce an existing form. Custom sizes can be useful when a form needs to fit a particular folder, binder, envelope, piece of equipment or existing business process.
Contact us with the size and requirements for your project and we can provide a custom quote for your carbonless forms.
Optional Consecutive Numbering
Consecutive numbering is available as an optional service add-on for 2-part carbonless forms. Sequential numbers can make it easier to identify and track individual invoices, receipts, work orders, estimates, tickets and other business documents.
Numbering can be particularly useful when your business needs to maintain organized records or account for forms as they are issued. If your forms require consecutive numbering, select the numbering option when available or contact us if you have questions about your particular project.
Quality Carbonless Paper for Reliable Image Transfer
The quality of the carbonless paper is important because the individual sheets must work together to produce a clear duplicate image. We use quality carbonless paper specifically designed for reliable image transfer between the white original and yellow duplicate.
Our carbonless forms are produced using properly matched form sets so the pressure-sensitive coatings can perform as intended. The result is a professional-looking original and a clear duplicate copy for your business records or customers.
Professional Printing for 2-Part Carbonless Forms
Our 2-part carbonless forms are produced using high-resolution digital printing equipment for sharp text, clean graphics and consistent printing. Digital production allows us to efficiently produce both smaller and larger quantities while providing the flexibility needed for custom business forms.
Forms can be printed in black or full color, depending on the appearance and information your business needs. We also edge-glue the two parts together across the top so the original and duplicate remain aligned while the form is being completed and can be separated easily when needed.
Order Only the Quantity You Need
At Discount Printing Service, we don't believe you should have to purchase more forms than your business actually needs simply because a printer has predetermined quantities. Our ordering system allows you to select the quantity that fits your requirements rather than forcing you into a one-size-fits-all quantity package.
Ordering the appropriate quantity can help you control your printing costs and avoid paying for forms that may sit in storage for years or never be used. It can also help reduce unnecessary paper waste by allowing you to order closer to the quantity your business actually needs.
Whether you need a smaller quantity for a small business or a larger production run for ongoing use, our flexible quantity options make it easier to order the forms that make sense for your operation.
How We Keep Our Carbonless Form Printing Affordable
Our goal is to provide low-cost carbonless form printing without sacrificing the quality businesses expect from their printed forms. We keep our prices competitive by focusing on efficient production, standardized products, streamlined online ordering and high-volume digital printing.
Our flexible quantity system is another important part of our approach. Rather than requiring every customer to purchase a predetermined quantity, we allow you to order the number of forms that better matches your actual needs. This can help small businesses and organizations avoid unnecessary printing expenses while still getting professionally printed forms.
By combining efficient production with flexible quantities and online ordering, we can provide affordable carbonless forms while giving customers greater control over their printing budget.
