4-Part Carbonless Forms Printing Service

4-part carbonless forms are an excellent choice when you need an original and three duplicate copies of the same document. Also known as 4-part NCR forms, these forms transfer the information written or printed on the original sheet to all three duplicate copies without the need for traditional carbon paper. Our 4-part carbonless forms are available in six standard sizes: 4.25" × 5.5" (quarter sheet), 5.5" × 8.5" (half sheet), 8.5" × 7" (half legal), 8.5" × 11" (letter), 8.5" × 14" (legal), and 11" × 17" (tabloid). Each size is available in either portrait or landscape orientation, allowing you to select the layout that best fits your form design. Custom sizes are also available when your project requires a different finished size. Forms are printed on high-speed digital printing presses and edge-glued across the top into sets of four sheets. Optional consecutive numbering is available for jobs that require numbered forms.

How 4-Part Carbonless Forms Work

A 4-part carbonless form consists of four sheets of specially coated paper that transfer information from the top sheet to the three duplicate sheets through pressure-sensitive coatings. When you write on the top sheet with a pen, pencil or other writing instrument, the pressure activates the coatings and creates a duplicate image on the sheets underneath.

Our standard 4-part carbonless forms use a white, yellow, pink and gold sheet sequence. The sheets are manufactured with the appropriate pressure-sensitive coatings so that information written on the white original transfers through to the three duplicate copies. Firm, even pressure produces the best image transfer.

Carbonless forms eliminate the need for traditional carbon paper between copies, making them cleaner and easier to use. They are especially useful when the original document needs to be given to a customer while additional copies are distributed to employees, departments or other parties and one copy is retained for business records.

For example, a job can begin with 1001 and continue with 1002, 1003, 1004 and so on. The starting number can be specified when ordering a product that offers consecutive numbering.

Quality Carbonless Paper for Reliable Image Transfer

Our standard 4-part carbonless forms are printed on #21 carbonless paper in a white/yellow/pink/gold sequence. The four sheets are manufactured as a matched carbonless set so that writing pressure transfers the information from the original to the three duplicate copies.

Each set is edge-glued at the top, keeping the four sheets together while the form is being completed and making it easy to separate the completed copies afterward.

We print 4-part carbonless forms on high-speed digital printing equipment at resolutions up to 1200 dpi. You can choose black ink or full-color CMYK printing depending on the appearance and purpose of your forms.
